If you are a pickleball enthusiast, why not share your love for the sport with your kiddos? In this post, we will explore three exciting alternatives to the traditional pickleball game that will keep your little ones entertained for hours! These fun activities can be played anywhere - the beach, backyard, park, court, driveway, etc.
Skyball
How high can you hit the ball? Count to 3 and everyone hits the ball up as high as they possibly can - who hit the ball the highest?
Partner Volley
Grab a friend, a ball, and a paddle. Hit the ball back and forth between your friend and yourself and count how many times you hit the ball before it touches the ground. Challenge yourself and see if you can get 15 touches before it falls! This helps improve focus and teamwork!
Chalk Pickleball Court
Grab some chalk and draw a court in the driveway, on a tennis court, or any flat surface. You can use chairs as the net, or skip the net! Increase or decrease the court size to test and challenge your family’s skills. Try to keep the ball inside the boundaries!
Playing pickleball with kids not only keeps them active, but also enhances their coordination, athletic abilities, focus, and teamwork. So, grab your paddles, gather your little ones, and let the games begin!
